Image Re-Touching

Subject manually cut out. Background image flipped to match light source. Depth of field added on separate layers. Colour temperature of both images altered. Subject outline cleaned up and hair smudged out for individual hairs.
Making day in to night. Composted image with a bit of fantasy feel to it. Reflection of fire light on left hand wall. ![]()
Retouching (boobs, cellulite, face/neck)

Colour temperature warmed up. Blusher eyelashes added. Plumped lips. Blemishes and hair tidied. Creases and jaw line reduced.

Image enlarged and rotated to make horizon straight. Curves altered on new layer and blended with original with Erase tool to match contrast. New layer of green set to ‘Hue’ to remove blue flare.

Manual panorama. Often automatic aligning of layers doesn’t do a great job especially with complex city scapes. Left hand side of the image was toned down with a multiplied blue layer to match the right hand side.

Slightly dodgy matching of lighting with new face. Curves altered for sepia ageing. Copy of image layer set to ‘Screen’ and blurred to create light haze. Paper texture created with a rough paper image and the back of an old photo. Combination of mulitply and screen settings to define paper highlights and shadows.

Feet of right hand subject reconstructed. Shadows and light reflections added.

Altering colours and contrast. Changing perspective from other images to compensate for light reflection.
